History
1972 Beckman Produce started
as a produce distributor.
1976 First Employee hired to deliver and repack
produce.
1977 First warehouse in Minneapolis 1,500 sq. ft.
1978 Hire first sales person, lease additional
space for a total of 10,000 square feet.
1979 Custom Cuts is born as value added vegetable
processing is started.
1980 Lease 27,000 sq. ft. to expand vegetable
processing and produce distribution, Incoporate business.
1984 Purchase 96,000 sq. ft. building (former Land
O'Lakes plant) in St. Paul to continue growth of
vegetable processing, fruit processing is started, and distribution is expanded
into Wisconsin.
1986 Lease 23,000 sq. ft. building in Beloit, Wisconsin to
service Chicago, Milwaukee,
and Madison.
Incoporate seperately as Custom Cuts Inc.
1989 Lease 30,000 sq. ft. building in Milwaukee (former Hormel building) and relocate from Beloit because of severe
labor shortage and inadequate sewer system for our size plant.
1993 Sublease space in Richmond, Indiana
from Hardee's to have a dedicated processing plant with Hardee's as an
exclusive customer.
1994 Sell Richmond operation to FFM of Rocky
Mount, North Carolina.
1997 Sell Beckman Produce to focus on fresh-cut,
value-added fruits and vegetables.
1999 Over 400 employees in two locations: St.
Paul, MN and Milwaukee, WI.
2001
Relocate St. Paul
plant to Minneapolis.
2004 Sell Minneapolis
operations to G.O. Fresh.
2006 Expanded Retail Sales Market
